This page explains how pack contents are determined on Booster Box Ltd ("Booster Box"). It supplements our Terms of Use (version 2026-07-20) and applies to customers in the United Kingdom.
1. Not gambling
Booster Box sells physical trading-card packs through a digital purchase-and-open experience. You are buying collectible goods, not placing a bet or wager. Sell-back store credit is not a cash prize. The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
2. Pack slots and weights
Each expansion uses a pack slot layout modelled on the real physical booster configuration for that set (how many cards per pack and which rarity pools fill each slot). A pack is composed by drawing one or more cards from those slots. Within each slot, eligible cards are grouped by rarity pool (for example Common, Uncommon, Rare, Illustration Rare).
Note: Code cards and Energy cards are not included in packs. Pack slots cover the collectible card pools for the set only — code cards and Energy cards are excluded from pack composition and from the odds shown on set pages.
- Each eligible card or pool entry has a relative weight expressed as "1 in N" within that slot.
- We convert those weights into pull probabilities when displaying approximate odds on set pages.
- Odds shown are estimates based on the current layout and eligible card pool — not a guarantee of any particular card in a given pack.
- If a set's layout is not yet ready, odds cannot be displayed and packs may be unavailable until it is.

3. Rip Til You Hit (RTYH)
RTYH offers open packs sequentially from the relevant set until a card matching the offer's ending rarities appears. Key points:
- Ending rarities for each offer are shown on the set page when you select the offer.
- When the target rarity appears, the run ends and all cards from every pack opened are added to your Vault.
- RTYH uses the same slot composition rules as standard packs for each pack opened in the run.
4. Market values are estimates
Near-mint GBP values shown in the Vault, on set pages, and at sell-back are derived from third-party market data (such as CardTrader listings via VendorTools) at or around the time of display or pull. They are not guarantees of resale price, insurance value, or future market price. Sell-back currently pays 85% of the locked value as store credit.
5. Inventory and fairness
Pack composition uses cryptographically fair random selection from the eligible pools for each slot. We do not manually rig individual opens. Layouts mirror real pack structures for each set; we may update pools or pricing when a set changes — updates apply to future purchases only.
