Odds disclosure
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This page explains how pack contents are determined on Booster Box Ltd ("Booster Box"). It supplements our Terms of Use (version 2026-08-07) and applies to customers in the United Kingdom.
1. Not gambling
Booster Box sells physical trading-card packs through a digital purchase-and-open experience. You are buying collectible goods, not placing a bet or wager. Sell-back store credit is not a cash prize. The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
2. Single-card pulls and tiers
Each pack open reveals one card. Every expansion has admin-configured percentage odds across five pull tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic. Cards are assigned to tiers by admins. When a tier is rolled, a card is chosen from the in-stock eligible cards in that tier with weight inverse to near-mint market value (cheaper cards are more likely).
Note: Code cards and Energy cards are not included in packs. Only pack-eligible cards with an assigned pull tier can appear.
- Tier percentages for each set are shown on the set page (and must sum to 100%).
- Within a tier, relative weight is
1 / max(near-mint pence, 1). - Odds shown are estimates based on current tier odds, stock, and market values — not a guarantee of any particular card.
- The card for a purchase is assigned at payment time and only revealed when you open the pack.
See individual set pages for tier detail: Browse sets.
3. Rip Til You Hit (RTYH)
RTYH offers open single-card packs sequentially until a card at the offer's target pull tier or higher appears. Key points:
- The target tier for each offer is shown on the set page when you select the offer.
- When a qualifying card appears, the run ends and every card opened in the run is added to your Vault.
- A hidden pack cap guarantees a hit by the final open if none appeared earlier.
- RTYH uses the same tier odds and value weighting as standard opens for each rip (except the guaranteed final open).
4. Market values are estimates
Near-mint GBP values shown in the Vault, on set pages, and at sell-back are derived from third-party market data (such as CardTrader listings via VendorTools) at or around the time of display or pull. They are not guarantees of resale price, insurance value, or future market price. Sell-back currently pays 85% of the locked value as store credit.
5. Inventory and fairness
Card selection uses fair random rolls over the configured tier odds and value weights. We do not manually rig individual opens. Tier odds and card assignments may be updated when a set changes — updates apply to future purchases only.
