Terms of use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Booster Box website, apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, browsing the Service, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

1. Who we are

Booster Box Ltd("Booster Box", "we", "us", "our") operates a United Kingdom–facing online shop where customers can purchase trading-card game (TCG) booster packs, open them digitally, hold resulting cards in a vault, sell cards back for store credit, or arrange physical shipment.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy from the Service. We may ask for date of birth and may refuse or close accounts that fail age checks.
• The Service is primarily intended for customers in the United Kingdom. Shipping destinations, payment options, and tax treatment may be limited to supported regions.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You may not use the Service if you are banned, if we have previously terminated your account for breach, or if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require email verification and, for staff accounts, additional security such as two-factor authentication.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear compromised, abusive, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.

4. Nature of the Service

Booster Box sells physical TCG cards fulfilled through a digital purchase-and-open experience:

• When you buy packs (or a Rip Til You Hit offer), you purchase the right to receive the physical cards allocated to those packs, subject to these Terms.
• Packs may remain sealed in My Packs until you open them. Opening reveals the card contents and places them in your Vault.
• Card market values shown on the Service (including vault "locked" values) are estimates derived from third-party market data (such as CardTrader listings via VendorTools) at or around the time of pull or display. They are not guarantees of resale price, insurance value, or future market price.
• The Service is not a gambling product. You are buying physical collectible goods (with optional delayed physical fulfilment). Sell-back credit is store credit for use on the Service, not a cash prize or wagering return.

5. Products, pricing, and payment

• Pack offers vary by game (for example Pokémon Single, Bundle, ETB, half box, full box; One Piece Pack and Booster Box) and Rip Til You Hit offers are priced in GBP as shown at checkout.
• Prices may change at any time before you complete payment. Obvious pricing errors may be corrected; if we cancel an order because of an error, we will refund amounts actually charged for that order.
• Payment is processed by Stripe and/or by applying store credit from sell-backs. We do not operate a general wallet top-up: credit is earned through sell-backs (and similar promotions) and spent at checkout.
• By paying, you authorise us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide. You must only use payment methods you are authorised to use.
• Packs are typically granted only after successful payment confirmation (including webhook or client confirmation). Until then, inventory may be held or released according to our checkout rules.

6. Pack opening and Rip Til You Hit

• Standard packs. Opening a sealed pack consumes that pack and adds its composed cards to your Vault at locked values determined at open time.
• Rip Til You Hit (RTYH).An RTYH purchase creates a sealed voucher. When you start the rip, we open packs from the relevant set until a card matching the offer's ending rarities appears. All cards from packs opened in the run are added to your Vault.
• Pack composition and pull rates follow each set's real pack layout and eligible catalog cards. Approximate odds may be shown on set pages. Odds are estimates, not promises of any particular pull. Code cards and Energy cards are not included in packs.
• Once a pack or RTYH run is opened successfully, the digital open is complete. You cannot "undo" an open to restore a sealed pack.

7. Vault, sell-back, and store credit

• Vault items represent cards you own pending sell-back or shipping (subject to stock, fraud checks, and these Terms).
• Sell-back. You may sell eligible vault cards back to us for store credit at the then-current sell-back rate (currently 85%of the card's locked near-mint GBP value, rounded as shown in the Service). Sell-back is final once confirmed.
• Store credit has no cash value outside the Service, is non-transferable, and may only be used toward eligible purchases unless we state otherwise. We may adjust, expire, or revoke credit obtained through error, abuse, or fraud.
• Locked values and sell-back amounts can change when market data or rates change for future pulls; completed sell-backs are not revalued.

8. Shipping

• You may request shipment of eligible vault cards to a supported address. Postage and any fees are shown at checkout (for example a flat postage charge where advertised).
• You must provide a complete, accurate shipping address. Risk of loss passes according to our shipping carrier terms once we hand over the parcel; title to shipped cards passes on dispatch unless law requires otherwise.
• Delivery times are estimates. Delays caused by carriers, customs, or incorrect addresses are outside our direct control. Contact us promptly about lost or damaged shipments so we can help with a carrier claim where appropriate.
• We may refuse, cancel, or require extra verification for shipping orders that appear fraudulent, high-risk, or incomplete.

9. Rewards, referrals, and promotions

• XP, levels, ranks, achievements, and similar progression features are promotional. Benefits may change, and we may correct errors in grants.
• Referral rewards (for example a share of a referred user's first purchase or sell-backs, or milestone packs) are subject to the programme rules shown in Account → Referrals and may be withheld for self-referral, fraud, or policy abuse.
• Promotional codes and free packs, if offered, may have usage limits, expiry dates, and product restrictions.

10. Consumer cancellation and refunds (UK)

If you are a consumer in the UK, you may have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related regulations. Nothing in these Terms seeks to exclude rights that cannot be excluded by law.

• Because packs can be opened immediately and contents are revealed digitally, the cooling-off right for distance selling may not apply once digital fulfilment / opening has begun with your agreement, or once sealed packs have been supplied in a way that completes the digital service. We will explain key points at checkout where required.
• Opened or vaulted packs: once any pack from an order has been opened (or its pulls vaulted), that order is not eligible for a standard purchase refund. Sealed, unopened packs from a paid order may be refunded by us at our discretion (or where required by law), typically by reversing the Stripe charge and restoring any store credit applied at checkout.
• If goods or digital content are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, contact us for a repair, replacement, or refund as applicable.
• Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may result in account suspension while we investigate.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Probe, scrape, or overload the Service except via documented public interfaces we expressly allow;
• Circumvent odds, inventory, payment, referral, or anti-abuse systems;
• Use multiple accounts to abuse promotions, referrals, or sell-back;
• Misrepresent identity, age, payment authority, or shipping details;
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or harass other users or staff;
• Resell access to the Service or scrape catalog data for competing commercial use without permission.

12. Intellectual property

The Booster Box name, branding, site design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. TCG card names, images, and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders (for example Pokémon Company International, Bandai, and others). Catalog imagery and pricing data may be provided via third parties such as VendorTools. You receive no ownership of those third-party rights by using the Service.

13. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers including (without limitation) Neon (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), VendorTools / CardTrader (catalog and market data), email delivery providers, and hosting/CDN providers. Their terms and privacy notices also apply to their processing.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that market values will match any particular marketplace sale, or that a particular chase card will appear in any given standard pack. RTYH runs continue until a card matching the offer's ending rarities appears.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, and our total liability arising out of any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific order giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100.

16. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts, cancel pending orders, or withhold fulfilment where we reasonably believe there is fraud, chargeback abuse, legal risk, or material breach. Upon closure, unused store credit may be forfeited where permitted by law; we will handle any remaining vault cards in line with our policies and applicable consumer law.

18. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (including sets, offers, odds displays, rewards, or shipping options). We will try to give reasonable notice of material adverse changes where practicable.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that UK consumers may also bring claims in their local courts where mandatory rules allow. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve issues informally.

20. General

• If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
• Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• These Terms (plus policies referenced here and terms shown at checkout) are the entire agreement for the Service.
• You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours as part of a reorganisation or sale.
